What we do

Long Term Assurance is designed to help families pay for long term care, assisted living, and nursing home care costs. With the ever increasing life expectancy, families are more and more concerned with covering those costs for their loved ones.

Veterans Aid

This is a benefit for Veterans or Surviving Spouses who meet eligibility requirements regarding (1) military service, (2) net worth limitations, (3) disabilities and level of care, and (4) income. The purpose of this benefit is to provide some financial assistance when a veteran’s (or surviving spouse’s) health declines and their medical expenses increase. When a person qualifies for this benefit, the VA considers all sources of income and deducts eligible medical expenses. Medicaid Planning

Medicaid is a federal program designed to assist those who are unable to pay for healthcare. Although it’s a federal program, the actual administration happens at the state level. In Arizona, Medicaid is called Arizona Healthcare Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and the long-term component is called Arizona Long Term Care Systems (ALTCS). While many people think of it as an insurance program for the poor, Medicaid also has a component to provide medical assistance for long-term care and skilled nursing care. I had a friend who was 90 years old and a veteran of the Pacific theater in world war 2. He was developing dementia and was in a care facility, his veterans benefits were less than 200 dollars a month. Several times persons tried to get him help without success. After contacting Long Term Assurance and contracting with them to help, providing the needed information it took less than two months to hear from the Veterans administration. The VA granted my friend almost 1300 dollars per month for his care. I have no doubt the attention to detail and professionals at Long Term Assurance were the reason there was a positive outcome. I cannot say enough about how easy it was to work with these people, they talked to me like family and guided me thru the process.
